RESPONSIBILITIES AT BAXTER

Responsible for production of all printed product labeling and packaging design and label copy content, including development of multilingual labeling (23 languages -- English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Portuguese, Greek, Croatian, Slovenian, Czech, Slovakian, Hungarian, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, Korean) in conformance with all applicable ISO standards for application of CE mark to medical device labeling

Responsible for the following types of printed product labeling and packaging materials:

  • Directions for Use Sheets (Folded)

  • Directions for Use Booklets (Folded, Bound)

  • Corrugate Shipping Cartons

  • Chipboard Cartons

  • Peel Pouches (Tyvek, Foil)

  • Printing Plates (Hardened Steel)

  • Card-Stock Shipping Inserts

  • Self-Adhesive Labels

  • Computer-Generated Text/Images for Online Manufacturing Printing Equipment


ROLES AND TASKS PERFORMED AT BAXTER

  • Technical Approver for all product labeling design and layout

  • Product labeling design and production

  • Packaging design and production

  • Technical illustration (creating/editing vector line art and raster images)

  • Coordinate high-resolution output for use by external suppliers to produce Baxter product labeling materials

  • Train all new designers in the use of all applicable Baxter systems, and disciplines listed above

ACCOMPLISHMENTS AT BAXTER

  • Production design for all product labeling and packaging used in the introduction of over 70 products to market

  • Developed new product labeling in 23 languages: English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Portuguese, Greek, Croatian, Slovenian, Czech, Slovakian, Hungarian, Polish, Turkish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, and Korean.

  • Designed and implemented Phase 1 Irvine facility web site on Baxter intranet

  • Redesigned Phase 2 Irvine facility web site on Baxter intranet employing new "folder-tab" navigational graphical interface design concept created using Macromedia Fireworks and Dreamweaver

  • Application of CE Mark to over 70 product codes, all in conformance with applicable ISO standards

  • Designed award-winning sixty-page document for Irvine plant submission to annual Baxter Quality Award
